About
Hello, I’m Stevie, a senior at the University of Redlands studying creative writing and literature. I’m passionate about storytelling, poetry, and the editorial/publishing process that helps shape meaningful work(s).
My writing focuses on poetry, reflective nonfiction, and lyrical fiction. I’m currently completing my senior portfolio, La Maison Gauthier, which explores memory and how it follows, as well as personal narratives through a series of poems and hybrid pieces. I’m inspired by authors such as Christelle Dabos, Ada Limón, and Silvia Moreno-Garcia, along with contemporary works that explore deep emotional experiences, like Calling a Wolf a Wolf by Kaveh Akbar. I’m drawn to fantasy and emotionally resonant literature that sparks reflection, shapes perspective, and connects with readers on an intellectual and emotional level.
When I’m not writing or revising, I’m usually reading contemporary poetry or slow-burns, scrapbooking, or experimenting with recipes.
